Visa
You need a passeport including a visa to enter and stay in Mali. Ask your country
Mali consulate for its delivrance. It can be also delivrate at the airport, on the
arrival in Mali.
For the nationals of the following countries of CEDEAO an identity card
or a valid passport is enough : Algeria, Cameroun, Andorra, Monaco,
Chad, Gambia, Morocco, Mauritania, Tunisia.

Health
Yellow Fever vaccination is an obligation. The vaccin has a 10 years validation.
Make sure you have this done fifteen days or so before the departure.
An
anti-paludic treatment is highly recommended. Use sprays and long
clothings in the evening to avoid mosquitos stings, in particular if
you travel on the wintering season (from July to October).
The compliance to simple rules will be enough to avoid possible
digestive disorders: it is advised to drink bottled water only and to
avoid ice cubes ; also avoid crudenesses and peel the fruits carefully
; wash your hands regularly in particular before the meals.

Insurances
Health insurance (including adequate medical evacuation) is advised. It
also covers your medical expenses during the stay.
You may also contract a luggage loss insurance and plane ticket cancellation or delay insurance.

Money
The Malian currency is CFA franc. 1 euros = 655,597 FCFA
To convert francs CFA into euros, divide the amount by 655,957. To
convert the euros into francs CFA, multiply the amount by 655,957.
The credit cards are very little used in Mali. The payment is cash most
of the time. We thus advise you to bring euros or dollars that you’ll
change on spot.
Only the Visa credit card International is accepted to withdraw species in some major banks in Bamako.

Climate
There
are 3 seasons: heat season (from March to June), wintering or rainy
season (from July to October), fresh season (from November to
February). There is no best season to visit Mali. The heat is fine
during the fresh season but the landscapes are splendid during the
wintering because it's flowering time.

The international airports of Bamako (Mali) and Ouagadougou (Burkina Faso) are served by several airline companies.
The airport of Mopti-Sévaré is also served by "Point Afrique" flights coming from Paris.

Tunis Air…
Best prices : Mali Company Airline (regular flight), Point Afrique (charter flight),
Air Méditerranée/Go Voyages (charter flight).
The
local companies (Mali Air Express train and Mali Company Airline)
ensure interior connections between Bamako, Kayes, Nioro, Mopti,
Tombouctou and Gao.
